Bangladesh Mofusal Journalists Forum Kabirhat Upazila Branch organized a prayer and Iftar Mahfil.This Iftar Mahfil was organized by Kabirhat Mofusal Journalists Forum (BMSF) at Haven Restaurant located in Kabirhat Bazar on Monday (March 17) evening.

Under the chairmanship of Mofusal Journalists Forum Kabirhat Upazila Branch President Zahirul Haque Zahir and moderated by General Secretary Nur Alam Biplob, BMSF Central Committee Joint Secretary and Noakhali Press Club Joint Secretary AR Azad Sohel spoke as the chief guest.

Among others who spoke at the event were Kabirhat Upazila BNP convener Kamrul Huda Chowdhury Liton, member secretary Sourav Hossain Kamal, municipal BNP convener Mostafizur Rahman Manju, member secretary Belayet Hossain Khokon, Kabirhat Upazila Jamaat co-secretary Mejbah Uddin, Kabirhat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Shahin Mia, Noakhali Editors’ Council and editor of Dainik Dishari newspaper Akash Md. Jasim, editor of Naya Piyar and president of Dattabari More Business Association Jahangir Alam, among others.

Journalists from print, electronic and online media working in the upazila, political figures and members of the civil society were present at the event.

The speakers at the event called on journalists to play a role in positive change in society by embracing the teachings of Ramadan. In addition, various activities and future plans of BMSF were also discussed.

Later, the prayers were offered by Mejbah Uddin Bhuiyan, Joint General Secretary of Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami.
