In Noakhali's Sadar Upazila, there has been an allegation of uncle's death due to the beating of nephews due to a land dispute. This incident took place at the house of Abu Chayed Master of Hakimpur village of Ward No. 2 of Dadpur Union of Upazila at around 12 noon on Saturday (November 2).

Deceased Abu Chayed (70) is the son of deceased Momin Ulya of Hakimpur village of Ward No. 2 of that union and he was involved in the politics of Dadpur Union Awami League.   

Zakyul Islam, the former chairman of Shala Noannai Union Parishad of the deceased, complained and said, "My sister-in-law Abu Chaeed had a dispute with his nephews over land and property for a long time. Today at noon, when he went to pick betel nuts from a betel nut tree in his house, his nephews Hasan and Hossain stopped him. At that time there was an argument between the two parties. At one point, the nephews beat him up and he died on the spot. Later the relatives of the deceased arrested his cousin Hasan and handed him over to the police. 

However, despite several calls to the accused's mobile phone, they could not be found.

Sudharam Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamrul Islam said that there was no sign of injury on the victim's body. Sometimes due to resource disputes, the moles are beaten. The body is kept in the 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital morgue.  The exact cause of death will be known after the autopsy report. In response to another question, OC Kamrul Islam said, I will give more details about this after knowing from the police who are at the spot.
