Police have arrested wife Lima Akhter on charges of killing expatriate husband in Begamganj of Noakhali. The accused will be handed over to the Noakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Tuesday (December 24) morning. Earlier, this incident took place at Chiddik Chowkida's house in Banshtala village of Mirwarishpur Union of Upazila Ward number 7 on Sunday night. The deceased Ismail Hossain (33) is the son of Saidul Haque of the same village. He was an expatriate of Saudi Arabia.

According to police and local sources, Ismail, a Saudi Arabian expatriate, married Lima three years ago. He returned home a week ago. Family members fell asleep after having dinner on Sunday. Ismail slept in a separate room with his wife. Ismail had an argument with his wife about various family matters. It is believed that because of that conflict, accused Lima Akhtar and her husband Ismail Hossain Kills by suffocation or blow to the head by himself or with the help of someone. But wife Lima told the victim's family that her husband died of natural causes. On Monday afternoon, while the body was being bathed for burial, a black wound was seen on the face of the neck. If the locals suspect the death, they inform the police.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Begumganj Police Station Liton Dewan said, to find out the exact cause of death, the body has been recovered and sent to the 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination. In this incident, the victim's brother filed a case at Begumganj police station. In that case, the accused will be arrested and produced in the judicial court on Tuesday morning.
