With the slogan “May all mothers and sisters be safe, let rape and torture stop in the country”, school, college and madrasa students have formed a human chain in Kabirhat, Noakhali to protest the horror of rape and murder and torture across the country.

The hour-long human chain was organized by students from all walks of life in Kabirhat, Kabirhat Upazila, at the Zero Point of Kabirhat Bazar on Thursday (March 13) at 12 noon.

At the time, the speakers said that the current situation in the country will take a terrible shape if it continues like this. The rape of a child in Magura has shaken the whole country today, on the other hand, the two undesirable incidents in Narottampur and Chaprashir Hat in Kabirhat, Noakhali have already shamed us. Addressing the current chief advisor, he further said, “We are not against the government, but he should give importance to the incidents that are happening across the country and arrange for exemplary punishment for the criminals very soon.” On the other hand, he also said, addressing the police, those involved in the incidents that happened in Kabirhat should be brought under the law and no such heinous incident should be repeated.

Present at the human chain were Kabirhat Municipality BNP convener Mostafizur Rahman Manju, Kabirhat Municipality Jamaat joint secretary Mejbah Uddin Bhuiyan, District Sechchhasebak Dal finance secretary Didarul Alam Milon, Noakhali district joint convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Rakibul Islam Rakib, Imran, Anjan, Saiful Islam Nishat, students of Kabirhat Ideal High School, Kabirhat Government Model High School and Kabirhat Islamia Alim Madrasa, local businessmen and common people.
