The police have recovered the skeleton of an unidentified woman (55) in Begumganj Upazila of Noakhali. The skeleton was recovered from the grass of a field on the eastern side of the shelter project in Kanchihata area of ​​Aman Ullahpur Union of the upazila on Wednesday (April 23) evening. The police believe that the skeleton could be a few weeks old.

According to local sources, a local youth was going to the field to cut grass around 1:30 pm on Wednesday when he saw a human skeleton lying in the grass and screamed. Then the people around came forward and informed the police station. Later in the afternoon, the police went to the spot. The matter was informed to the CID of Comilla from the police station. After going to the spot and collecting evidence, the skeleton was recovered and brought to the police station.

Liton Dewan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Begumganj Police Station, said that it has been initially confirmed that the recovered skeleton is that of a woman. The woman had two bangles on both hands. The clothes she was wearing were ruined. The flesh of the body was rotten. Only the bones were there. The age could be 50/55 years. The skeleton looks like it was a long time ago. A special team of the CID visited the scene and collected evidence.
