506 more Rohingya arrived in Bhasanchar

In the 25th phase, 506 more Rohingyas have reached Bhasanchar, an isolated island upazila of Hatiar in Noakhali.
On Tuesday (October 29) afternoon, the Rohingyas reached Bhasanchar from Chittagong by two ships of the Navy. Earlier, Rohingyas from various camps in Ukhia-Teknaf were brought to the temporary transit point set up at Ukhia College on Monday morning. Later in the night they left for Chittagong in more than 20 buses.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhasanchar police station Abu Zafar confirmed these information. He said that 506 new Rohingyas were transferred to Bhasanchar. Besides, a total of 901 Rohingyas have been sent to Bhasanchar, including 395 people who came to the Rohingya camps that were relocated earlier. It is an ongoing process. Last March 1, in the 24th phase, 1,242 Rohingyas were brought to Bhasanchar.
