Three coordinators were injured in an attack by miscreants in Sadar Upazila of Noakhali. The injured coordinators are Noakhali University of Science and Technology student and student coordinator Mehdi Hasan Shimant (24), local student coordinator Mamunur Rashid Tushar (26) and Hasan Ahmed Ghalib (26). 

This incident took place in Madhusudanpur area of ​​district town Maijdi at around 2:15 am on Saturday.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Sudharam Police Station Saifur Rahman Khan said that there was a dispute between the two parties over a shop in the hawkers market in the district town Maijdi. On Saturday evening, there was an argument between the two parties over the occupation of the shop. At that time, the coordinator went there and spoke. Later, the matter was resolved by going to the camp of the neighboring army. But when the coordinator goes to the army camp, someone takes their picture and posts it on Facebook The coordinator is caught in the act of extortion and they are cut. When the Facebook status spread, the coordinators went to interview those who had trouble to reveal the truth around 1:30 AM. Then someone beats the coordinators. Later, other students rescued them and admitted them to the 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital. Bappi (28) and Fahad (30) have been arrested in this incident. Their political identity is not yet known. But it will be looked into.

Al Joki Hossain, coordinator of Nobiprobi’s anti-discrimination student movement, said that activists of banned organization Chhatra-Leet are involved in this attack. He demanded that the assailants be brought under the law quickly. 

Sudharam Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamrul Islam said that the joint forces conducted an operation and arrested two people on Sunday morning.  Further legal action will be taken if written complaint is received.
