RAB-11 has arrested the accused driver in the death of 3 people of the same family including mother and son in a bus accident in Begamganj of Noakhali. Arrested Md. Anwar Hossain (36) of Chandraganj, Lakshmipur district, deceased. Son of Basir Ulya.

The arrested accused was handed over to Chandraganj Highway Police Station on Tuesday (October 29) around 9 pm. Earlier, he was arrested from Mandari Union of Chandraganj Upazila in the afternoon of the same day.

Chandraganj Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ruhul Amin confirmed this information. He said, 26 days after the incident, a team of RAB-11 conducted a raid based on secret information and arrested him.   

Incidentally, on August 3, a recklessly speeding Star Line bus hit an autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction in the shop area of ​​Begumganj. CNG auto rickshaw driver Jasim Uddin, his mother Tahera Begum and sister-in-law Kohinur Begum died on the spot. The bus driver left the car and ran away immediately after the incident.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandraganj Highway Police Station Ruhul Amin also said that the brother of the CNG driver who was killed in the incident filed a case against the accused driver under the Road Transport Act at Begumganj Police Station. In that case, the accused was arrested and handed over to Noakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Wednesday afternoon.
