The passports of 75 people, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, have been canceled for their involvement in the July massacre. Apart from this, the passports of 22 others were canceled due to their involvement in the disappearance.
Azad Majumder, Deputy Press Secretary of the Chief Adviser, gave this information at a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Tuesday evening.
In response to questions from reporters, he said that the Indian government is aware of the matter and travel documents have been issued for it. We have been informed about the cancellation of passports of 75 people from the passport department. Apart from this, the passports of 22 others have been canceled due to their involvement in disappearances and murders. However, we do not have the details or whose passports have been cancelled.
The Deputy Press Secretary also said that legally there is no provision to have multiple passports. If the passport is cancelled, the diplomatic passport is cancelled.
