The District Narcotics Control Directorate arrested a drug dealer with 8 kg of ganja from Sonaimuri Upazila of Noakhali.  At this time, cash of 4500 rupees and an android mobile phone were seized.

On Monday (October 21) around 8:30 pm, he was arrested from a garage in Pashchimpara of Mutbi village, Ward No. 7 of Bajra Union of Upazila. 

Detained. Belal Hossain (41) is the son of deceased Jalal Ahmed of Bara Bhuiyan house of that village.

Assistant Director of District Narcotics Control Directorate Noakhali Office Mohammad Abdul Hamid confirmed this information. He said that the detained accused has been dealing in drugs for a long time. On Monday night, officials of the District Narcotics Control Directorate raided a garage in Paschimpara of Mutbi village in the upazila on the basis of tip-off. During the operation, the drug dealer seized 8 kg of ganja, Rs 4500 in cash for drug sales, an Android mobile from Belal’s garage.

Assistant Director of the District Narcotics Control Directorate Mohammad Abdul Hamid also said that preparations are underway to file a case under the Narcotics Control Act at Sonaimuri Police Station. He will be arrested and produced in the judicial court in that case.
