576 bullets looted from police station recovered in Noakhali

Police recovered 576 bullets looted from Noakhali’s Chatkhil police station. They were recovered from the canal adjacent to Dashani Togba Bridge of Ward No. 7 of Chatkhil Municipality of Upazila on Sunday (December 8) at around 4:30 PM.
This information was confirmed by the officer-in-charge (OC) of Chatkhil police station Feroz Uddin Chowdhury.
According to the police, on the basis of secret information, the police conducted an operation in the area adjacent to Dashani Togba Rankhola Bridge of Ward No. 7 of Chatkhil Municipality. At one point, 566 Chinese rifle bullets, 1 magazine and 1 wireless battery were recovered from the canal under the Rankhola Bridge.
It is known that miscreants set fire to the Chatkhil police station in the afternoon after the fall of the government on August 5. At that time, weapons and ammunition were looted from the police station. Police have recovered several stolen firearms so far.
