The body of a camp worker named Motiur Rahman Sajeeb (17) was recovered from the grave in Companyganj of Noakhali after 11 years. On Tuesday (December 10) around noon, the body was exhumed in the presence of the magistrate from the family graveyard of Nayan Haji house of Ward No. 6 of Basurhat Municipality of Upazila. Later, the body was sent to the 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
Sajib is the son of deceased Abdul Rahman of the same area. He was a Dakhil candidate from a local madrasa and was involved in camp politics.
It is known that Sajeev’s body was removed from the family graveyard today around noon after the court order in view of the case. At that time a bullet was found in the grave. Companyganj Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Habel Uddin and investigating officer of the case Deputy Inspector (SI) Moinul Hossain were present at this time.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Companyganj police station Gazi Muhammad Fauzul Azim said that the body was exhumed from the grave on the orders of the court. At that time, an object resembling a bullet was recovered from the grave. After testing it can be said whether it is a bullet or not.
