A mild earthquake was felt in Rangpur and surrounding areas. The magnitude of which was 4 on the Richter scale. The earthquake was felt around 8:40 PM on Monday.

Earlier, on November 26, earthquakes were felt in various parts of the country including the capital. The magnitude of the tremor, which was felt around 5:45 in the morning, was 5.8 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake is 175 km east of Chittagong. Its depth was 42 km from the surface.
Earlier on November 21, a mild earthquake was felt in Rangpur around noon. The duration of the earthquake was 27 seconds. The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Sadar upazila area away from Rangpur metropolis. Considering the place of origin, it is the first time in the history of Rangpur. Its magnitude was 3.1 on the Richter scale.
