Army arrested a fake army captain from Sadar Upazila of Noakhali while impersonating an army captain. At the same time, an advocate who was an associate of the fake captain was also arrested. 

The arrested are fake captain Akram Hossain (38), son of Shamsul Haque of Paschim Charjubli village of Subarnachar upazila of the district and his associate Md. of Chuladgi village of Sadar upazila. Advocate Mohammad Jalil Hossain (39), son of Delwar Hossain.

They were arrested from the Noakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate Court area around 7:30 pm on Wednesday (December 18). 

It is known that Captain Nabil Rahman of 16 Field Regiment Artillery conducted a raid in Noakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate Court area based on secret information. Fake Captain Akram Hossain and his associate Advocate Mohammad Jalil Hossain were arrested in the operation. It is alleged that the fake captain Akram and his associate advocate Jalil have been extorting money from the people of different areas of Noakhali in the guise of settling the case.   

Sudharam Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kamrul Islam said that the arrested have been handed over to the police station. Further legal action will be taken if written complaint is received.
