The family, local BNP and local residents have organized a human chain and protest march to demand execution of the killers of Youth Dal leader Yunus Ali Ershad in Companyganj upazila of Noakhali.

On Sunday (December 29) at noon, the human chain program was held on the road in front of the Noakhali Chip Judicial Magistrate Court. Later, a protest march was held on the same road.

The victim’s younger brother Samchu Uddin said that many of the killers are still roaming outside. And those who have been arrested. Today, while coming to the court in a prison van, they are threatening us and saying that there will be a game. We demand speedy trial of these killers from the administration.

Raichul Haq, father of deceased Yunus Ali Ershad, sister Rumi Akhtar, wife Khadija Akhtar, Ward No. 9 BNP president Zainal Abdin of Charafkira Union, Juba Dal president Alamgir, Chhatra Dal president Amjad Hossain and others also spoke.

It is to be noted that on November 14, local youth leader Yunus Ali Ershad was stabbed to death in Guchchagram of Charafkira Union of Companyganj Upazila of Noakhali by the opponents. The family claims that the killers are members of Nizam’s forces and the local Muchapur, Charafkira union is associated with BNP politics. The deceased was the son of Raichul Haque of Diara Balua Guchchagram of Charafkira Union of Ershad Upazila and was a candidate for the president of Ward No. 9 of the same union.
