Wife killed and given to Tabligh Jamaat, then arrested

The police have arrested the main accused in the brutal stabbing death of a housewife in Begamganj of Noakhali. The accused was handed over to Noakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Tuesday (December 24) afternoon. Earlier, he was arrested from Moulvibazar area under Manohardi police station of Narsingdi district on Monday.
The arrested Saifullah alias Khaled (28) is the son of Abdul Qayyum Liton alias Dish Liton of New House Chiranbhuia in Hajipur area of Ward No. 9 of Choumuhani Municipality of Upazila. Deceased Shahnaz Akhtar Pinki (30) is the wife of Jahangir Alam, a Kuwaiti expatriate of Nowabari, Hajipur area of Ward No. 9 of Chaumuhani Municipality of Upazila and mother of 2 sons.
Superintendent of Police (SP) of Noakhali. Abdullah Al Farooq said, the accused has been handed over to the Noakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate Court. Police are trying to arrest other accused.
