A case has been filed at the police station in Kabirhat, Noakhali, on the charge of raping two six-year-old twin sisters. The police have arrested the accused in this incident and sent them to jail.

Kabirhat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Shahin Mia confirmed the filing of the case at around 11:15 am on Thursday (April 3). Earlier, the mother of the abused children filed the case at Kabirhat Police Station on Wednesday under the Prevention of Violence against Women and Children Act. The accused Md. Farid (16) is the son of Md. Didar Mia of Dhanshalik Union of the upazila.

The details of the case say that since March 23, the victim’s mother noticed the physical deterioration of her younger daughter. On March 25, the two sisters were playing with their tractor on the road next to their house. The victims’ father was resting at home, while the mother was busy cooking. From there, Farid took their elder daughter to an abandoned tin shed next to the house and raped her. Later, upon hearing the child’s screams, her younger sister went to her mother and informed her about the matter. Her mother immediately rescued her daughter from the scene. Then, when the child’s mother asked about the reason for her younger daughter’s physical deterioration, she said that Farid had done the same thing to her on the afternoon of March 23.

Kabirhat Police Station OC Md. Shahin Mia also said that on March 30, the accused was arrested under Section 54 and sent to jail through a judicial court. He will also be arrested in the case filed under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.
