A young man died due to electrocution in Companyganj of Noakhali. This incident took place on Saturday (October 26) afternoon in ward number 7 of Muchapur Union of the upazila.
The deceased Md. Sabuj (17) is the son of Jahangir Alam of the house of Farid member of ward number 7 of that union.
Talking to the locals, it is known that Sabuj used to work at his Fufa’s grocery store. At around 4pm, an electrical wire was snapped while cutting down a tree overhanging the tin of Fufa’s grocery store. At one point, the tear fell on the right side of his head. He got electrocuted and died on the spot.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Companyganj police station Gazi Muhammad Fazal Azim confirmed the matter. He said that the police were sent to the spot after receiving the information. After talking to the family of the deceased, legal action will be taken.
