RAB has arrested two people, including the killer bus driver Mohammad Nuruddin, in connection with the death of 6 people, including 4 members of the same family, in the Dhaleswari toll plaza of Dhaka-Mawa Expressway.

RAB-10 arrested them from Siddhirganj of Narayanganj on Friday. It was informed in a message from the Legal and Media Wing of the RAB headquarters on Saturday.

RAB-10 Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police, Assistant Director (Media) Tapas Karmakar said that during initial interrogation, bus driver Mohammad Nuruddin said that he consumed various drugs. However, before the accident (yesterday) he did not consume any intoxicating drugs. Nuruddin has braked the bus. So the bus did not stop even after braking repeatedly. He also admitted that he was driving the bus himself.

Earlier, a bus of Bepari Paribahan rammed the motorcycles, microbuses and private cars standing to pay the toll on the expressway at around 11:00 yesterday at a reckless speed. The cars in front of it twist and turn. At that time, one person got trapped inside the private car and died on the spot. The rest died on the way to Dhaka.
