Drug dealers arrested with foreign liquor worth Rs 3 lakh in DB operation

A drug dealer was arrested along with 80 bottles of foreign liquor in a raid by District Intelligence Branch (DB) from Begamganj Upazila of Nozakhali.
The arrested Noor Mohammad (50) is the son of deceased Chan Mia of Sakina’s father’s house in East Maichchara village of Underchar union of the upazila.
He was arrested in Ganipur area of Chaumuhani municipality of the upazila in the early hours of Tuesday (October 29).
Noakhali District Intelligence Branch (OC-DB) Ashraf Uddin said that a team of the district intelligence branch raided a house named Najma Villa in Ganipur area of Chaumuhani municipality of the upazila on the basis of secret information. In the operation, drug dealer Nur Uddin was arrested along with 80 bottles of foreign liquor belonging to a foreign band smuggled in. The estimated market value of the seized liquor is Rs 3 lakh. The matter of filing a case in this incident is under process.
