Punctured wheel of moving car, death of NGO official due to panic

An NGO official died due to a punctured wheel of a moving CNG autorickshaw in Noakhali’s Subarnachar. Deceased Amir Hossain (42) is the son of deceased Main Uddin of Momin Nagar village in West Charjabbar area of upazila. He was the Manager of Lakshipur Sadar Upazila Branch of BRAC NGO.
The accident took place on Friday (December 20) around 4:30 pm at the head of Al Amin Bazar road on Charwapda Union Chairman Ghat to Sonapur road.
BRAC NGO Lakshipur district manager. Sirajul Islam said, on Friday afternoon, Amir traveled to his home in Subarnachar, Noakhali from Lakshmipur to meet his mother on CNG. At around 4:30 pm, the Chairman of Charwapda Union came to the head of Al Amin Bazar road on Ghat to Sonapur road and the front wheel of the passenger CNG got punctured. Fearing this, he panicked and stroked the CNG. He was immediately taken to the 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Charjabbar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shaheen Mia said, there were five passengers in the CNG. No passenger in the CNG was injured when the wheel punctured. He died of panic attacks. It is believed that he was already a heart patient. The body was handed over to the family as there was no complaint.
