Farmer dies of stroke at livestock market

A farmer died of stroke at the livestock market in Senbagh, Noakhali. The deceased, Jakar Ullah (50), was a resident of Ashrad Miyaji Bari, Ward No. 4, Batiya Union, Kabirhat Upazila of the district. The incident took place on Monday (June 2) afternoon at Fakirhat Bazar in Bijbag Union of the upazila.
Locals said that around noon, Jakar came to the livestock market in Fakirhat Bazar of Bijbag Union of Senbagh with two goats from the neighboring Kabirhat Upazila. Then he sold one of the goats at the livestock market. While collecting the money for selling another goat, he suddenly fell to the ground due to chest pain. Local people immediately took him to the doctor who declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Senbagh Police Station SM Mizanur Rahman said, “I have heard about the matter.” He was later buried in the family graveyard.
