In Noakhali’s Begamganj, miscreants slaughtered a BNP worker openly after shooting him in medieval style. However, the immediate relatives of the deceased and the police could not give any reason for this murder.

This incident took place in front of Sujaetpur Purba Jame Masjid in Sujaetpur village of Alaiyapur Union of Upazila at around 1:40 PM on Friday (December 27). Deceased Kabir Hossain alias Chali Kabir (35) is the son of deceased Nurnabi of Sujaetpur village of the same union.

According to local sources, Chali Kabir was an active worker at the ward level of the local BNP. Kabir came to the area after August 5. There were several cases against him. On Friday afternoon, he went to the Sujaitpur East Jama Masjid next to his house to offer Friday prayers. Imam’s He left the mosque for home after performing the obligatory Friday prayer. At that time 5-6 masked miscreants came in front of Sujaitpur East Jame Masjid in a CNG driven auto rickshaw. At one point, as soon as Chali Kabir came out of the mosque, they fired at him. When the poet was shot in the head and fell on the ground, the terrorists cut the vein of his left leg, cut his throat and killed him and escaped after confirming his death.
