Five dead bodies were found in a ship stopped in the Meghna River in Harina Ferighat area of Chandpur. Members of the Coast Guard and Naval Police are on their way to the scene.
The ship where the body was found was named MV Al-Bakhera. The vessel was said to be at anchor. The manner of death of those whose bodies were found is not yet known.
Chandpur Naval Police Superintendent Syed Mushfiqur Rahman confirmed that the bodies were found around 3:30 pm on Monday (December 23).
