The Ministry of Education has said that the news that schools will be open on Saturdays from next year is false. In the syllabus published on Monday, Friday and Saturday have been retained as weekly holidays.
According to the 2025 syllabus, there will be a total of 76 days of holidays in 2025. The holy Ramadan holiday will begin from March 2, which will last for 28 days. There will be 8 days holiday from June 1 to June 19 for Eid-ul-Azha and summer holidays and Durga Puja.
Mosammat Rahima Akhter, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Education, said that there was no discussion about keeping the school open on Saturday and the weekend will remain in force for two days.
He also said that there will be some new changes for the students in the academic year 2025. But it is a relief news for teachers as there are two days off in a week.
