Juba Dal activist killed after Friday prayers, arrest-3

The police have arrested 3 people in connection with the shooting and throat slitting of youth worker Kabir Hossain (36) in Alayapur of Begumganj upazila of Noakhali. They were arrested by conducting raids from Friday night to Saturday afternoon.
Earlier, Anwara Begum, mother of the deceased Kabir, filed a murder case at Begumganj police station as the plaintiff. In the case, 6 people are named and 5-6 more unknown people are accused.
The arrested persons are Shah Alam (54), Md. Sahid alias Kalam (40) and the suspect Kaushar Alam (40). They were arrested on Saturday afternoon in a murder case and sent to jail through the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court of Noakhali.
Liton Dewan, OC of Begumganj police station, confirmed the arrest of three accused in the murder incident and said that after the murder, several teams of police started an operation to arrest the accused. Three accused including two from Ejaharnamiya have been arrested in this operation. The operation to arrest the other accused is continuing.
It is to be noted that on December 27 (Friday) noon, a group of masked gunmen who came in a CNG-driven auto-rickshaw on their way home after Friday prayers first targeted Kabir Hossain. When he fell on the ground, the miscreants fled again in an auto-rickshaw after cutting his legs and slitting his throat.
