Husband and wife died after being burned in the kitchen stove in Noakhali island upazila to Hatia. The deceased were Nimai Chandra Majumder and wife Milan Bala. They are a resident of the house of Jorakhali village of ward no 1 of Bururchar union of the upazila.

Hatia Police Station Officer -in -Charge AKM Azmal Huda confirmed the matter on Saturday (February 7th). Past The fire broke out from the kitchen stove at the house of Jorakhali village in the upazila on Thursday. Later, on Friday, January 5, Nimai Chandra Majumdar died at 4 pm on the way to Dhaka for treatment. After arriving at the hospital, his wife Milan Bala died around 9pm.

Hatia Police Station OC AKM Ajmal Huda said the killed couple lived in a room next to the kitchen. According to the locals, the fire started from the kitchen stove.

Jasim Uddin Chowdhury, an acting officer of the Hatia Fire Service Station, said the incident was not reported to them.  However, they are investigating the matter.
