President Md. The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has strengthened security in the area concerned by announcing the Bangabhavan siege program demanding Sahabuddin’s removal. A large number of policemen have been deployed. Police and army APC, water cannon are ready.

On the surface, it can be seen that the angry people who came under the banner of the Independence and Sovereignty Protection Committee are protesting and speaking at the intersection in front of Bangabhavan. Next to it, half a hundred people can be seen standing and protesting under the banner ‘Raktim July-2024’ demanding the resignation of the President.

It is known that on Tuesday (October 22) at 12 noon, the Committee for the Protection of Independence and Sovereignty started a procession from Dhaka University Raju Bhaskarya and went towards Bangabhaban. Crossing the police barricades at the High Court Mazar Mor area, it proceeded to Bangabhaban.

When asked about the overall security system of Bangabhaban area, DMP Joint Commissioner Farooq Hossain said that instructions have been given by DMP to strengthen security in Bangabhaban area. A large number of policemen have been deployed accordingly. Detective policemen in plain clothes are working. Army and RAB members are cooperating with the local thana police to prevent any untoward incident.
