Two friends were killed and another was injured after a motorcycle hit a road side passenger shield on the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway at Shibchar upazila in Madaripur district on Tuesday.
The incident happened at around 1:30pm in front of the Bandarkhola passenger shield in the upazila.
The deceased were identified as Partha Shil, 20 and Ayon, 20.
Md Shakil Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Shibchar Highway Police Station, said, “Partha and Ayon were returning home after completing college on a motorcycle. On the way home, the motorcycle hit a passenger shield, leaving the duo dead on the spot and another critically injured.”
