A young man died after being hit by a truck in Noakhali’s Subarnachar. The deceased Md. Habib (20) is the son of Mohammad Abul Bashar Basu of West Charjabbar village of Charjabbar union of the upazila.

The incident took place on Monday (January 27) around 1 pm at the head of the clear road on the Sonapur to Chairmanghat road.

According to local sources, Habib was returning home from the local resident market by a motorcycle at noon. When the journey reaches the head of a clean road, an ambulance collizes face to face with a truck coming from the opposite direction. Habib, a motorcycle, was hit under the truck with a motorcycle. Later, locals rescued him and took him to Noakhali General Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Charjabbar Police Station. Shaheen Mia said that after receiving the information, the police visited the scene. The truck was seized from the spot and brought to the police station. The driver fled immediately after the incident. Legal action will be taken if written complaint is received.
