Drug dealer arrested with 8,000 pieces of Yaba

The District Narcotics Control Department has arrested a drug dealer with 8,000 pieces of Yaba from Subarnachar Upazila of Noakhali. At that time, 41,000 taka in cash was seized.
The accused was handed over to the Noakhali Chief Judicial Magistrate Court around noon on Friday (June 13). Earlier, he was arrested from Nizam Uddin’s tea shop area on Colony Road in Charbata Union of the upazila around 12:15 am on Thursday. The arrested Md. Ismail Hossain (23) is the son of Mohiuddin of Charmjid village of the upazila.
It is learned that Ismail has been collecting Yaba from Chittagong drug dealer Abul Kalam Azad for a long time and has been trading drugs in his area in collusion with the absconding accused Nupur. This time too, they arrested Noakhali DNC Ismail while he was bringing Yaba from Chittagong to his district. At that time, another drug dealer, Nupur, fled the scene.
Char Jabbar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahin Mia said that the District Narcotics Control Department has filed a complaint with the police station under the Narcotics Control Act in this incident. However, they will investigate the case themselves.
