RAB-11 has arrested a young man for inciting a Madrasa student of eighth grade in Lakshipur to commit suicide. Arrested Md. Omar alias Rahim (20) of Hyderganjigo house of Charalrens village of Charalrens Union ward number 4 of Kamalnagar Police Station, Lakshipur. Son of Zaker Hessen.

He was arrested from Zamindarhat area of ​​Ward No. 9 of Rasulpur Union, Begumganj, Noakhali at around 8 pm on Friday (November 8).

He said that the victim of the case was an eighth grade student of a local madrasa. As his father was abroad, he used to read and write from home with his mother. On the way to and from the victim’s madrasa, Omar alias Rahim constantly molested her and made love to her. He also spread misinformation in the area that he had physical relations with the victim. When local dignitaries warned the accused in this regard, he later became more enraged and started behaving recklessly. At one point he started threatening the victim. The victim could not tolerate such activities of the accused and was humiliated and wrote a note in her own hand in anger and committed suicide by hanging her neck with a veil worn in her residence on August 23 at noon. The victim’s mother filed a case at Lakshmipur’s Kamalnagar police station as a plaintiff.

The accused has been handed over to Kamalnagar police station for taking legal action against him. The accused was produced in the court on Saturday morning.
