BCB has released the final schedule of the 11th season of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The tournament schedule has been announced today (Tuesday) evening. BPL will start on December 30. The almost one and a half month long tournament will end on February 7 next year.
BCB president Farooq Ahmed has expressed the hope of giving a better BPL than the previous ten seasons. This is what he said in the video message published by BCB.
Apart from this, the ticketing system will be completely digital, free water will be provided for the visitors in the gallery, there will be a special program to keep the stadium clean. From the start there will be DRS, quality broadcasts, foreign umpires and popular commentators.
BPL will start from Dhaka then Sylhet, Chittagong and the last phase will be in Dhaka. The first 8 matches of the group stage will be in Mirpur. Then BPL teams will go to Sylhet. The teams will play 12 matches of the group stage there.
Sylhet phase matches will be from January 6 to January 13. Later, 12 matches will be played at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong from January 16 to January 23. After that, BPL will return to Dhaka again.
All matches from January 26 till the final will be played at Mirpur Sher E Bangla Stadium. The eliminator will be held on February 3 at noon. The first qualifier will be held on the same day night. And the second qualifier will be held with a gap of 1 day on February 5.
The final will be held on February 7. BPL 2025 matches of the day will be from 1:30 PM to 4:50 PM. However, Friday’s matches will be at two in the afternoon and seven in the evening! Besides, the night matches will start from 6:30 pm to 9:50 pm.
